We are lookingfor a qualified Counsellor to join our dedicated team.
· Work alongside clients to understand theirneeds using a strengths-based, outcome-focused approach.
· Support individuals, youth, and family/whānau who present with arange of issues, working holistically to build on strengths and promote whānauwellbeing.
· Work in a culturally inclusive way, withknowledge of tikanga Māori and a demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti oWaitangi.
· Provide counselling support services in line with professionalstandards and the ethics required by relevant professional associations.
· A tertiaryqualification in counselling, ideally with at least two years’ work experience.
· Registration ormembership with the relevant professional body, or willingness to work towardsthis.
· Warmcommunication skills and an understanding of teamwork and team dynamics.
· The ability to keep appropriate clientrecords and provide written reports or materials in a professional and timelymanner.
· Confidentcomputer skills, including the use of client management systems and accuratedata entry.
· Good knowledgeand understanding of the complexities of family violence and its impact onfamily/whānau.
